Here at VPI, we understand the powerful bond between people and pets. It is the strength of this relationship that has been the primary inspiration behind our collaboration with the nonprofit organization Pets2Vets.

This Veterans Day, we’re proud to announce our new partnership with Pets2Vets, whose mission it is to alleviate the suffering of U.S. active military, veterans, first responders and their families by matching them with at-risk shelter animals; a model uniquely designed to save two lives.

Emphasizing the mutually beneficial relationship between humans and pets, Pets2Vets seeks to support these servicemen and women, who the organization calls “heroes,” as they pursue re-entry into society with the support of a rescued companion animal. Pets2Vets assists in healing the emotional wounds of duty by enabling pet and hero to forge new bonds that build confidence and trust.

Pets2Vets will present qualifying heroes with a VPI Pet Insurance policy, covering the first year’s policy premium. Additionally, pets will receive a CareGuard(SM) Core rider, which covers expenses related to vaccinations, flea protection and other preventive routine care benefits.

With our utmost respect and gratitude for these heroes, we are honored to be a part of this new alliance. To learn more about this program or to make a donation to Pets2Vets, please visit their website at http://www.p2v.org/.
