The bright lights, the big city, the snacks—oh the snacks. New York City is a world-class culinary destination for everything from fine dining to dollar slices. One of our members took a little inspiration from her experience with a tasty bark-ery treat and turned it into a truly wacky pet name.
“When I first moved to New York, I did a donut crawl and tasted all the best donut around the city,” says Nationwide member Theresa S. The experience made an impression on her, especially when it came time to name a new pup. “When she came home for the first time, she slept on the couch all curled up like a little donut,” she says. From then, the rest is wacky history.
Jelly’s donut name was a perfectly wacky accent for her quirky personality. Among her unique characters, her doo doo dance is maybe one of the wackiest. Theresa continues, “She does a little excited dance after she uses the bathroom—every time, it doesn’t matter, a dance must be had,” says Theresa.
